"I'm the Decider, I'm the Decider...Wah, Wah, Wah..."

Sounding like a petulant, spoiled little brat (which he is), our president took to the microphone yesterday in yet another in a series of "Donny, you're doing a heck of a job" defenses of the Defense Secretary, Donald Rumsfeld, who's been under fire from several generals, the media, and Democrats. The generals, seven in total, have come forward in a vote of no-confidence to call for Rummy's resignation. The media, no fan of the secretary, are gleefully reporting every syllable. And the Democrats? They simply would love to see Rummy's head roll down Pennsylvania Avenue.

Standing in the Rose Garden, after introducing his new White House budget director Rob Portman, Bush was insolent, emotional and, frankly, quite juvenile as he loudly asserted his unrelenting support for the embattled Rumsfeld:

"I listen to all voices, but mine is the final decision. And Don Rumsfeld is doing a fine job. He's not only transforming the military, he's fighting a war on terror. He's helping us fight a war on terror. I have strong confidence in Don Rumsfeld. I hear the voices, and I read the front page, and I know the speculation. But I'm the decider, and I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the secretary of defense."

If at the end of that diatribe he shouted "It's my ball" and stormed off it wouldn't have surprised me one bit. Wah, wah, wah. It's embarrassing to see our whiney president throw a temper-tantrum on national TV. He certainly wasn't very presidential. But then again, when the hell has he been?

To think this nutcase has his finger on the nuclear button is very, very scary. When will the American people wake up? When their kids are being drafted?

Andy, this dope of a pResident has not only brought down this country but now his own party is being brought down. The GOP must be wondering what the hell they can do to distance themselves from this idiot before they get hammered this fall.

Can't those party loyalists see that all Bush cares about is Bush and nothing more. He truely is a SICK person and needs to be removed, NOW!

I always come to this blog when I want to see an intelligent analysis of breaking news. Your take is right on. I thought the same thing when I saw Bush talking about Rumsfeld yesterday. Funny none of the traditional media could see the petulance of this very dangerous man. None of the other blogs did either.

Adrianna Huffington was the first to write, and acutally the only one I know of who has written, the psychological truth about Bush: He's a DRY DRUNK. He stopped without benefit of remedial help and so continues to act like a drunk even though he's not still drinking. Or is it?

Is that a real picture of Buch yelling at someone or a photoshop?

Even if it's altered, it captures the mental status of the man. Oh, it is SO time to go, Mr. Bush!

All the poll numbers in the world, all the talking heads, rude and unrude pundits, etc. etc. will change nothing until the American people realize that this man will be in office until 2008 and I pray that we will still have some sembelence of a democracy by then. With all branches of government ruled by one party, all the petitions for impeachment, censure, etc. even if they are brought up to the congress for consideration will be struck down or tabled by the party in charge of all. The only way we can possibly change the direction of the country is to have every American who is qualified to vote get their butts to the polls and change the power of congress to a two party system again. Just a few thoughts.

Like a tornado, the spin just keeps coming from all fronts, both Democratic and Republican sides. Listen to your inner voices people, your instincts are usually right on track. Just remember, come November, vote, vote, vote! It is the only way a change in direction can be obtained before this whole country goes down the tubes in a hand basket with no ropes to pull it out.

Bring back America the beautiful with hope and justice for all the people.
