"When I'm 64..."

We don't usually post on the non-political here, but we thought it fitting to wish Sir Paul McCartney a very happy 64th birthday. Time sure flies. He's one of the greatest talents to ever walk the earth, and an over-romantic bloke who's a bit down on his luck right now. We wish him the very best.

Here's to another 64.....

Good luck Paul,
Thanks for supporting the Republican party!!

PS - John was better than you.

Some older guy once thanked me for the work I do trying to get my generation active and outraged, and sobbed about how his generation had dropped the ball...

Thanks for nothing Paul.

P.S. If he had a spine he would have spoken out about how the CIA killed Lennon.

I grew up idolizing the 60's generation. Now I strongly believe they were the most destructive generation in the history of america. They're the ones screwing up D.C today.

Is it true that the Ostroy Report is shutting down?

Macca is the most gifted songwriter that ever walked the earth. Without his music my life would be unbearable. Thanks Paul.

When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a Valentine, birthday greetings, bottle of wine?
If I'd been out till quarter to three, would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?

Hmm------mmm---mmmh.

You'll be older, too. Aaah, and if you say the word, I could stay with you.

I could be handy, mending a fuse, when your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside, sunday mornings, go for a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds, who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?

Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wight, if it's not too dear. We shall scrimp and save.
Ah, grandchildren on your knee, Vera, Chuck, and Dave.

Send me a postcard, drop me a line stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say, yours sincerely wasting away.
Give me your answer, fill in a form, mine forever more.
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty four?

I am amazed by the stupidity, spite, mendacity and disingenuosity of most of the above posts by "anonymous"...

Anonymous needs to get a life. The '60's served their purpose. Now we're in the '00's of a new century. Those '60's folks who are screwing everything up are Republicans. Bush, Cheney, DeLay, Ney, Enron dudes, etc, etc.

They didn't get the essence of the '60's, except for the booze and drug excesses on Bush's part.

I'm with the poster above, the GOP anonymous is lost on the highway.
