Texas Rep. Kevin Brady Arrested for DWI

Another member of the Republican morality police, Rep. Kevin Brady of Texas, has run into trouble with the law. According to South Dakota authorities, Brady was arrested Friday night and charged with driving under the influence. Brady was born in S. Dakota and graduated from USD, which held its homecoming over the weekend.

Brady, the Deputy Whip who currently serves on the Ways and Means Committee, is a staunch conservative who has voted against stem cell research, abortion education, partial-birth abortions and is rated 0% by NARAL for his pro-life positions.

There's been no information released yet as to how much alcohol was in Brady's system. The legal limit is .08 in S. Dakota. Brady faces a fine of up to $1,000 and a year in jail if convicted of the misdemeanor charge, according to Clay County Sheriff Andy Howe. Andy

Kevin Brady is just another Republican hypocrite!

This is a deplorable action and I will be the first to say Brady should immediately resign over it. While there is not yet a conviction, it is a straightforward charge with provable test results. Throw the bum out.

You must mean his anti-choice positions. If he were truly pro-life, he'd be against capital punishment and unnecessary wars, and for gun control.

Rick, ok then how about pro-innocent-life? Also, I would love to hear your definition of a necessary war. I would bet you would be hard pressed to define it.

I am not defending this dog Brady, but the actions of some do not disqualify the validity of their positions. When that woman who started MADD was pulled over for DUI, it was hypocritical but it did not invalidate the need for tighter DUI control.

I've heard rumors that John Sweeney, one of our local "conservative" reps here in Albany, NY, has had a couple of DWI arrests.

An unnecessary war is when a president LIES to his people about the existence of weapons of mass destruction that really don't exist. An unnecessary war of the past was when another president LIED about US ships being attacked in the Gulf of Tonkin...when they weren't. An unnecessary war from an even more distant past was when another president LIED about a US ship being sunk by clandestine Spanish ships. It is painfully obvious to the people of the United States what an unnecessary war is. Those who don't see what it is are those who don't want to see what it is.

oops, I never saw there was a reply here. Since this is on the next page it is likely nobody will read it but basically I asked for a definition of A necessary war. The reponse here involved an unnecessary war. I am well aware of how libs feel about Iraq.
